Is MeuPatrocínio a scam?

No. MeuPatrocínio is a dating site that has been running since 2015, and in that time it has brought together 12.1 million Sugar Babies and 2 million Sugar Daddies.

Every profile is checked by a person on our team before it goes live. Signing up is free. The one who pays is the Sugar Daddy, and only after his first ten messages, when he decides to subscribe. If he doesn’t like it, he has 7 days from his first subscription to ask for a full refund.

As on any network with a lot of people, someone may try to deceive others. The most common sign is asking for money before meeting in person. See how to protect yourself and report the profile.

Is MeuPatrocínio safe and trustworthy?

Yes. Every profile is reviewed by a person on our team before it goes live, and the site complies with Brazilian Law No. 15,211/2025.

What we do:

  • review the photos and texts of every profile, and again with every change;
  • offer photo verification for Sugar Babies, with the Verified Profile badge;
  • keep a Reporting Channel answered by real people;
  • never disclose your name or share your data, and charges appear discreetly on your statement.

What you do: chat on the site before giving out your phone number, never send money to someone you haven’t met, and set your first date in a public place. That’s the house rule.

Is sugar dating prostitution?

No. MeuPatrocínio is a dating site for adults who agree on their expectations up front, in conversation, and decide together what the relationship will be like.

Offering or asking for paid sex breaks the Terms and Conditions of Use, and the account of anyone who does it is removed. The rule covers escort ads, a price per date and any request for money in exchange for sex, photos or videos, whether on a profile or in messages.

A gift or some help that someone offers of their own free will, with no obligation attached, isn’t payment for a service. If someone suggests a price per date, report the profile.

Is MeuPatrocínio on Reclame Aqui?

Yes. MeuPatrocínio has a page on Reclame Aqui, the Brazilian consumer complaints site, and answers the complaints filed there.

If you have a problem with your account, a payment or a refund, the fastest way is to talk directly to our support team through the form at the bottom of this page or, if you already have an account, through the support page. Include the email on your account and, for payments, the receipt. That way we can find your account without asking for your details again.

How do I protect myself from scams on MeuPatrocínio?

Never send money to someone you haven’t met in person, whatever the reason. Asking for money before the first date is already a sign of a scam.

Other precautions, for both sides:

  • chat on the site before giving out your phone number or other social networks;
  • get to know the person before setting up a date, and make the first one in a public place;
  • don’t share your address, bank details or documents with someone you just met.

A Sugar Daddy should be wary of anyone who only wants money and disappears after being paid. A Sugar Baby should be wary of anyone who promises gifts and help just to get a casual date, and then vanishes with an excuse: “I had an emergency”, “I’ll send the deposit later”.

How do I spot a fake Sugar Daddy or a fake Sugar Mommy?

The clearest sign is being asked how much you charge per date. Anyone who does that is looking for a paid service, and that is prohibited on MeuPatrocínio.

Don’t reply by agreeing to or negotiating a price. That links your image to escorting or prostitution, which the Terms and Conditions of Use prohibit, and it can get your own account suspended too.

Other signs: someone who asks for intimate photos or personal details right away, someone who promises a lot but never suggests meeting you, and someone who disappears after the date without keeping their word.

Our team reviews profiles, but it doesn’t monitor every conversation. If you come across someone like this, report the profile.

How do I report a profile on MeuPatrocínio?

If you’re a member, open the person’s profile on the site or in the app and use the “Report” option. Every report is read by someone on our team and handled as a priority.

  1. Open the profile you want to report.
  2. Tap “Report”.
  3. Tell us what happened, with as much detail as you can.

If you’re not a member or can’t log in to your account, use the Reporting Channel, which has a form and the email denuncias@meupatrocinio.com. Include the profile’s username and, if you have them, send screenshots of the conversation.

Your identity is kept confidential: the reported profile doesn’t find out who reported it. For the same reason, support doesn’t share the outcome of the review.

What should I report on MeuPatrocínio?

Report any profile that breaks the site’s rules, especially anyone who:

  • uses someone else’s photos or shares one account with another person;
  • presents themselves as an escort or sex worker;
  • asks for or offers money as a condition for a date, sex, photos or videos;
  • asks for personal details before meeting you;
  • harasses, insults or threatens;
  • seems to be under 18, lies about their age or tries to help a minor get onto the site.

When in doubt, report it. The report is reviewed by someone on our team, and you’re not exposed. See how to report.

How do I set up a safe first date?

Set your first date in a public place. That’s the house rule, for both sides.

Before you set it up:

  1. Chat on the site until you feel safe with the person.
  2. Agree clearly on what each of you expects, so nobody shows up with a different idea.
  3. Tell someone you trust where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
  4. Get there and back on your own.

Don’t send money before meeting, don’t give out your address and don’t accept requests for a price per date. If something feels wrong before or after, report the profile.

Can people under 18 use MeuPatrocínio?

No. MeuPatrocínio is only for people 18 and over and complies with Brazilian Law No. 15,211/2025.

Being a minor is a reason for account suspension, and photos showing children or anyone under 18 are rejected. Our team reviews every profile before it goes live.

If you suspect a profile belongs to a minor, that someone lied about their age or that someone is trying to help a minor get onto the site, report it. These reports are reviewed as a priority.
