A lot of people. You stop at one.
Every profile says in one line what the person wants. You fly past whoever doesn't fit, open whoever does, and go back to the search.
On the other side
The bigger the name in Porto Seguro, the less he wants to be seen. Photo, surname and what he is looking for stay inside the site, for people who also joined.
Their schedule explains the rest: a full routine, little time to look around. Whoever sends the first message gets ahead.

Nobody guesses. What each one expects comes out in the first conversation, the way people talk. A deal is a deal.

She shows her face in the search. He does not have to. She sends the photos that are not on her profile, asks for his in the chat, and he unlocks it for whoever he wants, person by person. Few sites do this. Here it is standard.

Some are looking for someone who has already made it. Some like clearing the path for someone, and having company at Wednesday dinner. Here they find each other.

You need clarity.
Sugar Dating in Porto Seguro
Porto Seguro, in the far south of Bahia on the stretch of coast known as the Costa do Descobrimento, has an active community on MeuPatrocínio, with women and men in the city and in the districts around it. They live downtown, in Arraial d’Ajuda or further on in Trancoso, cross the ferry or take the road the way other people cross a street, and work in tourism, retail or the services the city never stops needing. Real people, with names, schedules and limits.
What changes here is the beginning. You say what you are looking for before you leave the house. So does the other person. Every relationship has terms. Here they are said out loud, and nobody finds out the arrangement over dessert.
It starts in writing, before the first coffee. Each side says what they want: how much time there is, what pace, what is possible and what is not. In a city that receives outsiders in any month, by air and by road, the list gains one more question: do you live here or are you passing through? Answering that first avoids the wrong expectation from the start.
Porto Seguro is not one neighbourhood stretched along the beach. It is downtown, on one side of the Buranhém river, and the ferry crosses to Arraial d’Ajuda on the other side. Trancoso lies further on, by road, past Arraial. Each part has its own character: downtown is shops and movement all day, Arraial d’Ajuda mixes guesthouses with neighbourhood life, Trancoso revolves around the Quadrado, the grass square lined with coloured houses where the evening starts late.
The Passarela do Descobrimento is the obvious choice downtown: bars and restaurants side by side, busy until late, easy to end in an hour without awkwardness.
The beaches work during the day. The sea here is warm and, at low tide, the reefs form natural pools — an outing of a few hours that gives you conversation without any pressure to decide anything. If you would rather leave downtown, the Quadrado in Trancoso works for a longer dinner — reached by road — or the Arraial d’Ajuda seafront, across the ferry, for something simpler.
The northern seafront, towards Santa Cruz Cabrália, has the big beach clubs, with music and people all day. It works for a second date in daylight; for a first conversation, it is too loud.
Time and stability, most of the time. Many people working in tourism, hospitality or retail here live between an intense season and quieter months, and use the quiet months to study or plan the next step. The request, then, is someone who answers with some predictability, not only when the city’s pace allows it, and who understands that December and July are months of double shifts.
Then the ordinary things: someone grown up, who does not vanish for days and come back as if nothing happened. No games is a literal request.
Clarity and discretion, in that order. Between downtown, Arraial d’Ajuda and Trancoso, anyone with a house or a business in the region runs into the same people in more than one part of it, and discretion here is not vanity. It is routine.
Some people keep a house here and live in another capital, splitting the year between the two. For them, agreeing the schedule in advance is the only way the relationship can exist. On the other side, the request is the usual one: an adult conversation, someone who says what she wants without circling it.
Public place, always: the Passarela, a busy beach, a restaurant with people around. You arrive in your own transport and you leave in your own transport — and if the date is in Arraial d’Ajuda, check the time of the last ferry before you leave the house; Trancoso is by road, with no such schedule to plan around.
Tell someone where you will be. Send the name of the place and the time. It is not suspicion. It is what anyone sensible does.
On MeuPatrocínio, profiles are reviewed by people, not by a bot. Your photos can stay in a private album and you decide who sees them. If someone goes past what was agreed, there is a reporting channel and the account comes down.
Keep the date short. An hour, somewhere public, nothing booked afterwards.
Talk about terms before, not at the table. Arriving with the arrangement already settled leaves dinner free to be what it should be: two people finding out whether they like each other. And if they do not, that is fine: you both said what you wanted, and nobody lost the season.

The terms are stated before the first date; otherwise it works the way it does in any tourist city. Both people build a profile, say what they are looking for, how often, and what is off the table. Only then do they meet, usually on the Passarela do Descobrimento or on a busy beach.
Yes, there are women and men from downtown, Arraial d’Ajuda and Trancoso on the site. Signing up is free, and you write in your profile what you are looking for before you talk to anyone.
On the Passarela do Descobrimento at night, because it is public, there are people around and you can leave whenever you want. A beach works during the day, with no obligation to stay late.
No, as long as you check the time of the last ferry before you leave the house. It changes the logistics, not the rest. Trancoso has no such concern: it is reached by road.
It is as safe as any date with someone met online, and the rules are the same: a public place, your own transport, a friend who knows where you are. On the site, profiles are reviewed by people, your photos can stay in a private album, and there is a reporting channel for anyone who goes past what was agreed.
Not to sign up: signing up is free. You create a profile and write what you are looking for without paying anything for it. The terms of the relationship are agreed between the two of you, and the site does not take part in that conversation.
Real, verified profiles, with the terms on the table. Pick yours.
