Nobody guesses. What each one expects comes out in the first conversation, the way people talk. A deal is a deal.

She shows her face in the search. He does not have to. She sends the photos that are not on her profile, asks for his in the chat, and he unlocks it for whoever he wants, person by person. Few sites do this. Here it is standard.

Sugar Dating in Criciúma
Criciúma has one of the most active communities in southern Santa Catarina on MeuPatrocínio, with far more men looking than women. They live in the centre and in the Próspero, Michel and Pio Corrêa neighbourhoods, they study at UNESC, the regional university, they work in shops, in the tile factories and in the companies that grew up around them. Real people, with names, schedules and limits.
The city is mid-sized and its routine is short. Criciúma sits in the far south of Santa Catarina, in the south of Brazil, with the BR-101 highway running alongside it, the south-coast beaches under an hour away and the mountains on the other side. It is not a beach town: here the sea is a Saturday outing, not an address.
What changes here is the beginning. You say what you are looking for before you leave the house. So does the other person. Every relationship has terms. Here they are said out loud, and nobody finds out the arrangement over dessert.
It starts in writing. Before anything is arranged, both people have said what they want: how often, how much time fits the week, what is out of the question. Said up front, it saves months of misunderstanding.
Criciúma is a mid-sized city with a working city’s routine. The shops are concentrated downtown, housing spreads through the neighbourhoods around it, and the distance between any two points rarely runs past twenty minutes. That makes meeting cheap in time, and that tends to get people to the point.
The first message is almost always the same question in three parts. What are you looking for. How often. What is not part of the arrangement.
The centre handles the first time. Coffee at the end of the afternoon, a restaurant table with people around, an easy exit if the conversation does not move. Forty minutes there already tells you whether a second one is worth arranging.
The area around UNESC has a different rhythm, younger and busiest around class hours. It is a good mid-afternoon option, with enough people about that a first date does not feel isolated.
The second time usually leaves town. Rincão beach and Morro dos Conventos are a short drive away, and the mountains are on the opposite side, a little over an hour uphill. That is agreed beforehand, with a time to head back, and not in the car.
The public calendar counts too. Football is part of how the city sees itself, and on a matchday for Criciúma Esporte Clube, the Tigre, the usual places fill up. People who live here know it in advance and settle the time along with the place.
Time and direction, nearly always. In Criciúma there are far more men looking than women, and that moves the choosing to her side: she reads without hurrying, answers only a few, and does not have to accept the first conversation that turns up.
Mentorship is what comes up most in this kind of conversation. UNESC graduates a new class every semester in law, engineering, health and business, and no diploma arrives with a contact list. How to handle an interview, what to do after graduation, when to accept and when to decline: that gets talked through with someone who has already walked the road.
Then the ordinary things. Someone grown up, who answers messages, who does not vanish for three days and come back as if nothing happened. No games is a literal request.
Clarity and discretion, in that order. The region was opened up by coal mining and today lives on ceramics and floor tiles, which leaves the economy concentrated in a few sectors and the professional circle small: the same people turn up in the meeting, at lunch and at the weekend. Discretion here is not vanity. It is a condition of the routine.
On this side the request is the usual one: an adult conversation, a schedule that fits the week, someone who says what she wants without circling it.
Somewhere public the first time, no exceptions. A café downtown, a restaurant with people in it. You arrive in your own transport and you leave in your own transport.
Tell someone the name of the place and the time. It is not suspicion. It is what any adult does before meeting a person they found online.
On MeuPatrocínio, profiles are reviewed by people, not by a bot. Your photos can stay in a private album and you decide who sees them. If someone goes past what was agreed, there is a reporting channel and the account comes down. You set the terms. We handle the rest.
Keep the date short. An hour, somewhere busy, nothing booked afterwards. The rush to prove something is what ruins a first conversation.
And talk about terms before, not at the table. Arriving with the arrangement already settled leaves dinner free to be what it should be: two people finding out whether they like each other.

It works the way it does anywhere else in the country, with one difference: the terms are stated first. Both people build a profile, say what they are looking for, how often, and what is off the table. Only then do they meet, usually over coffee downtown or at a restaurant table at the end of the afternoon.
Yes. Criciúma has one of the most active communities in southern Santa Catarina, with far more men looking than women. Signing up is free and you can see who is nearby the same day.
Somewhere public, busy and easy to end. Coffee downtown at the end of the afternoon works well, because it can last forty minutes without anyone feeling stuck. The area around UNESC suits the middle of the afternoon, when there are people about.
It is as safe as any date with someone met online, and the rules are the same: a public place, your own transport, a friend who knows where you are. On the site, profiles are reviewed by people, your photos can stay in a private album, and there is a reporting channel for anyone who goes past what was agreed.
It can, and it belongs to the second time rather than the first. Rincão and Morro dos Conventos are under an hour away, and the mountains are on the opposite side. An outing like that takes both people away from a public place and their own transport, so agree the route and the time to head back beforehand.
Signing up is free. You create a profile, write what you are looking for, and see who is in the city without paying anything. There are paid plans with more messaging features, and that choice stays yours, at any point.
Real, verified profiles, with the terms on the table. Pick yours.
